If you are not too keen on public transport and you are not planning to hire a car, a taxi journey or a private transfer are your best options to get to Torrenova from Palma airport. Private transfers are increasingly gaining in popularity – we have looked at the reasons why.
These days, a lot of people pre-book a private transfer rather than relying on an airport taxis. The main reason for this is a competitive price and the fact you have a car and driver waiting at the airport to whisk you off to your final destination. No having to queue at the taxi rank until a car becomes available and not having to guess if the taxi driver is taking you the best way or padding out the journey to increase the fare.
When taking a taxi from Palma airport, there are so many variables that go into calculating the fare such as the day, hour and a supplement for picking up and dropping off at the airport. It’s all a guessing game of how much it’s going to cost until you end your journey.
With private airport transfers, the fare is agreed in advance so you know exactly how much it is going to cost and that the driver will get you there as fast as possible. Also, when compared to a normal taxi that is only permitted to carry four passengers you can book a vehicle tailored to your needs be it a limousine or a people carrier.
Besides the rock star treatment of being met at the airport by a chauffeur, you have the added benefit of comfort as all private transfer cars are more luxurious when compared to a utilitarian taxi. Need a child safety seat or have a member of your family or group that requires a wheelchair lift? It’s no problem asking for them when you book a private airport transfer but is never going to happen if you decide to take a taxi.
